An antique sterling silver pipe tool made in 1912 by Charles Perry & Co, silversmiths of Birmingham, England.
It combines three functions in one: a tamper for packing tobacco, a pick to improve airflow, and a two-pronged reamer (fork) for cleaning the inside of the bowl. Its clean, unembellished form and the hallmarks stamped on each of its three parts attest to the assured quality of British silverware. The ring at the top lets you attach it to a chain or similar for carrying.
Fine scuffs and small scratches from age are present, but can be appreciated as the soft patina of silver that has endured for over a century. A practical piece that will add to the pleasure of quiet moments with your favorite pipe.
